Automotive Technician / Mechanic

Job Description:
The Internet Car Lot is now hiring an automotive technician to add to our growing team! We are a very successful, locally owned and rapidly growing company who have been in business for 20 years! We just moved into our brand new state-of-the-art Service Center in downtown Omaha this year and are seeking techs to join our team! We maintain a fleet of over 800 vehicles that is growing in size daily!  The Service Centers features a huge mechanics shop, a full body shop, huge detail center, a photo booth for listing our vehicles for sale and more all under one roof!  This facility serves as a hub to service vehicles for our Omaha, Council Bluffs and Lincoln dealerships.  We also offer retail customer work as well.  There is never a shortage of work! We are seeking a very knowledgeable, hardworking, sharp, energetic, motivated technician with integrity.

Responsibilities Include:
– Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, air conditioning, etc.
– Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors
– Preform basic care and maintenance including oil changes, alignments and tire rotations
– Repair (disassemble and reassemble parts) vehicles in the allotted time as estimated
– Keep the shop clean, organized and presentable
– Use testing equipment to ensure repairs and maintenance are effective
– Identify mechanical problems, often by using computerized diagnostic equipment

Qualifications:
– Automotive Technician experience: 3-7 years
– ASE Certification is a plus
– Technical degree is a plus
– Drivability/Diagnostics
– Have full body mobility
– Good time management skills
– Ability to lift up to 50lbs
– Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time with your hands
above your head
– Valid driver’s license with good driving record
– Must have own tools and a locking tool box.
– Honest and great work ethic
– Reliable transportation to and from work
– Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation:  Based on experince – excellent competitive pay!
